Motherwell District Women's Aid

Using purposeful content, targeted campaigns and platform-specific strategies to increase awareness of MDWA’s vital support services and connect their message with the people and communities who need it most.

Overview

It is an honour to support Motherwell & District Women’s Aid (MDWA) in strengthening their digital presence and increasing awareness of the vital support services they provide.

Working within a sensitive sector, our focus has been on creating informative, engaging content that helps MDWA reach those who may need support, while ensuring the anonymity and safety of the team remains protected.

Our approach has centred around using social media as a tool for awareness, education, and accessibility – ensuring that people experiencing domestic abuse, or those supporting someone who is, can find the right information and understand that support is available.

Across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, we develop tailored content strategies designed to reach two key audiences: service users who may need support and individuals, organisations, and businesses who can help raise awareness or provide funding opportunities.

Strategy & Growth

Awareness & Service User Reach

Unlike traditional businesses, MDWA’s social media strategy is not focused on selling a product or driving immediate conversions. Instead, the goal is to ensure their services are visible, accessible, and present in the right places for those who may need them.

Through carefully planned content and targeted campaigns, we help raise awareness around domestic abuse, available support, and the resources MDWA provides. This includes creating content that may help someone recognise their own circumstances, understand the support available, or take the first step towards seeking help.

Maintaining a consistent and informative online presence is essential within this sector, ensuring MDWA remains a trusted source of information for their community.

Audience Strategy & Paid Advertising

A key part of our work with MDWA has been using paid advertising strategically to reach specific audiences with different objectives.

On Meta platforms, campaigns are focused on reaching potential service users and local communities – increasing awareness of MDWA’s support, resources, and campaigns among those who may need their services or know someone who does.

LinkedIn requires a completely different approach. Here, the focus shifts towards reaching businesses, professionals, and potential supporters. Through LinkedIn content and campaigns, we aim to educate workplaces around domestic abuse awareness, encourage organisational support, and create opportunities for partnerships, funding, and wider community involvement.

This platform specific strategy ensures MDWA’s message reaches the right audiences in the right way.

Communications & Reporting Support

Alongside social media management, we provide quarterly communications reporting to help MDWA clearly communicate progress and impact to their board and stakeholders.

Through professionally designed reports, we transform key updates and digital performance into clear, accessible visuals that demonstrate growth, engagement, and the ongoing impact of their communications activity.

The Outcome

Our partnership with Motherwell & District Women’s Aid demonstrates the importance of using digital platforms responsibly to create meaningful impact.

By combining strategic content creation, targeted advertising, and platform specific communication, we help MDWA increase awareness, reach those who may need support, and engage with wider communities who can contribute to their mission.

Through ongoing digital support, we continue to help MDWA strengthen their online presence while ensuring their vital services remain visible, accessible, and connected to the people who need them most.

“Working with a charity whose values align so closely with our own as people and as a company has made this partnership particularly meaningful. MDWA’s focus on awareness rather than traditional commercial goals has given us the opportunity to put our creative passion into work that has a genuine purpose – creating content that educates, raises awareness, and helps make vital support more visible to those who may need it.”
